V8 Conversion for a Frontier
« on: February 23, 2008, 01:29:46 PM »

This might make a few of you sick and I might get cussed but here goes. A few months back I bought a 98 frontier with a blown motor and I've been staring at it since pondering what I'm going to do with it. Well I have a healthy 302 on a engine stand that came out of my 69 Mustang after transplanting a 351 windsor into it. Basically I put 2 and 2 together and came up with this crazy idea to put the ford small block into the shell of the frontier. I know that I will have to do some major choping, cutting, fabrication work and customizing but I think in the long run it will work and end up being a cool project.

Not a bad deal.  350's have been transplanted into Nissans for years in the mini-truck scene; enough so that there are ready-built mounting kids & adapters already.

I figured it would be a fun project to keep me in the garage for a while. Plus I have a weird obsession with crawling around salvage yards looking for parts.
