Red Sled Hardbody build thread
« on: January 23, 2009, 02:48:07 PM »

Here are some pics of the winch mount bumper and brushguard that I fabbed out. All of them hook together nicely. The bumper is 6" channel... and the guard is off a first gen exploder. I need to trim it up with a valance... and plan on adding a set of roller fairleads to make the cable come through the brushguard tube. Also, the bottom brushguard mount was left rough so that I may hook a skid plate into it... which will be done soon. Here are a few pics. I'll post more when I resize them.

It will not allow me to post pics of ANY size. I've spent 3 hours trying to get them to work.

I guess I'll have to do photobucket. I don't know why I can't just put pics on this site.

Yeah, it is sort of annoying. I use photobucket and it works just fine.

I hope this works. If it does, I'll have many more to post soon.

Thanks! Here is a pic of the almost finished product. I'm going to wait to wait until I fab out the front skids before I REALLY put the finishing touches on it... Valance, trim, what nots. I also have some d shackles and recovery hooks that I have yet to install.

Does anyone on this forum have any info or insight that will help with the shortening of my truck(I think it's called bobtailing). I've searched and haven't been able to get any hits on that. My plan is to shorten the frame to the shackles and box it in with an air filled tube bumber... also some rear fender guards-Sliders.
