nope , west coast meet was all in Cali
I was thinking this years meet... Anyway there are some good backcountry roads near Heber. That area got a ton of snow. Take a look at the forest roads that run back to Chevelon lake and you will get an idea.
Sunday would work good for me.

Yeah we have run some fun stuff around Heber (thats where broncodude's cabin is) but its all pretty easy. basically dirt roads, the snow does make it slighly more exciting though. We saw quite a few deer last time we were out there as well.

I have a cabin up in heber too. There are some cool trails up there, I would reccomend the one going back to Black Canyon lake, its an easy forest road but gets awesome in the snow. Lots of good places to sled.

Just don't go to Flagstaff. All the forest roads are closed. In fact that is the case with majority of the Coconino National Forest. I think you guys are going to be better off with something above Payson or near Prescott.

Yea the plan is to go to one of those two areas. Working out the details right now. Brenda and Wally plan on heading up to the Munds Park area for the weekend, which I am looking into now. I just wanna see SNOW!

I already talked to the forest service and most if not all the roads in the Munds Park area are closed. You can pretty much drive through the town to the Forest Service gate and go no further. There is a decent area there to play in the snow, but not much driving action. I have also heard from two persons who live in Flagstaff and they both said as of two days ago they were not able to find any open forest roads. Speaking of which Flagstaff and the Munds Park area have around 33-40 inches of snow on the ground with more snow predicted tonight and tomorrow.

Thanks Laurence, you know if Schnelby Hills Rd (I have no idea if I spelled that right) is closed? I know they were talking about possibly driving that on the way home Sunday.

Yes, Schebly Hill Road is closed for the winter regardless of snow. From the Sedona side, you can get to the Vista but no further.

The Crown King area had snow back in January. I'm not sure if they got any new snow, but it may be worth checking out. You could go in from I-17 (instead of the backroad) - which would save approx 4 hours.
