i traded for this last week. not nissan, but i think it will be a good time.
1996 tahoe, 9 inches of combined lift(6 suspension, 3 body), 4.56 gears, 5.7 liter, 37" boggers
needs all the fluids changed, they are NASTY, as well as a few leaks fixed, and sounds like a t-case chain(pops), but the thing comes alive when you stand on it!!

ya i am going to have to come up with a bigger trailer too, it barely fits on my current one LOL
i agree it needs bumpers, and a strong winch, bet its gonna be hell to get it out when it sinks LMAO, i crossed a small hole with it here at the house, about 10-12 feet across, bout 3 foot of water, idled in it in low, stabbed the gas once, then idled out of it. kind of nice to dirve something with some torque, i bet it will break a lot more than the nissan does though...IFS on 37's can't be a good situation when you stand on it.

if that happens you'll just have to put a d60 up front and do and sas to it then it would be a monster

Nice, you trade the ol HB for it? The main prob. on those is the CVs binding. The aftermarket ones seem to break easier if the front is at any angle and of course there are quite a few more ponies under the hood. Keep a few spares and you should be aiight. Which rearend is under it? Hopefully the semifloat 14 bolt as it should stand up ok. 10 bolt not so much.

sadly it has the 10 bolt under it, so it will break if it catches a bite, have to keep it in the soft stuff...
still have the HB, actually traded the boat for this one, i got the better end of the deal IMHO
i think it may have a programmer on it already, there is one in the console, i tried to plug it in and see what it did, and the programmer wouldn't seem to work, but it runs REALLY strong, so i am going to say that it has been installed before it malfunctioned.

Well you can just run it til it breaks and then sling something more stout out back. One good thing about Chevys, parts are plentiful. That thing looks bada$$ though fo sho.

thanks, i like the way it looks, i need to build some bumpers soon though, before i mess it up
and on the axles, i will probly go 14 bolt, but if nothing else i have a set of rockwells sittin in the shop for another project that is on hold, so they could always be "borrowed" LOL

My brother ran a 10 bolts(welded) out back with 38.5 Boggers for a while behind a 350(carb) and it did ok. I told him run it until he broke it but he went ahead and wanted to sling 1-tons under it so we did. There is a pic of it on here somewhere in the FS section.
